My wife and I eat here a couple times a month. The services is always incredible, and the food comes out super fast. I've really enjoyed a majority of the items that I have ordered on their menu. The beans that they bring out with the chips tastes amazing. The restaurant is usually pretty quiet, so it's a nice relaxing place to enjoy a meal.

The food was excellent -- as always! Drinks were perfect. Everything is delicious and very economical. David was superb as our server. He was polite and personable. One of our favorite Mexican restaurants! If you haven't tried Pueblo Viejo, you need to!

The chips and salsa were good - the chips looked a bit thicker than I like, but the crunch was perfect. The fajitas were good as well. A fairly spicy telenovela was playing as I was seated.

The location is having the street, but the parking lot is kind of a maze to get there.

Enter in under a massive chandelier into a colorful foyer, where you wait to be seated. Wooden highchairs are available upon request and situated around the restaurant, resting on top of blue and red carpeted floors. Black plastic booster seats are also available. Depending on party size, it seems, you will be seated in booths (wooden tables with red booth seats, while the booth backs are a flowered pattern similar to a style of curtains/bedspreads that once dominated design) or at a table (wooden tables with wooden chairs that have a red cushion). Sugar packets, along with standard salt and pepper shakers adorn the tables. A sign reminding you to social distance is still on the wall, within feet of the big screen TV and if you look up, the "middle" is designed to look like a courtyard, as roofs appear out of the wall on both sides, along with street lamps. The bar area looks like it could turn into a fun atmosphere, but was completely empty, the night I visited. Two baskets of chips, along with two medium (heat) salsa cups and two refried bean cups were brought to the table. Traditional Tex-Mex, but flavorful. The fajitas, sizzles and steamed more than any fajitas before and then meat rested on a large bed of onions and green peppers. Maybe next time we will have room for dessert!

Nothing wrong with the cleanliness or staff, our service was actually fine. But this has to be some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever put in my body. Pueblo Viejo has been mine and my boyfriend’s go-to restaurant of choice whenever we want to treat ourselves for the last year, and the other two locations were great. We made a special trip for this location specifically, and we won’t be doing that again. I’ll cut to the chase here.
The good: It was clean, we didn’t have a wait time around 5 PM, and staff was attentive.
The bad: How the heck can food be so dry yet so watery? In fact, how did they manage to use an entire bunch of cilantro and a whole onion and neither of those added ANY flavor to your (green) salsa? When the waitress sat down the bean dip, it was so watery that we were surprised it didn’t slosh out the side of the dish. The masa used for my tamale literally crumbled on the fork. Their rice had the same texture as that boxed minute rice. The red salsa we got with our chips literally tasted like marinara.
I guess come here if you fear flavor. If not, literally any other location is leaps and bounds ahead of this one as far as that goes. I would rather eat On The Border, and it took me 27 minutes to find something that looked even remotely appetizing.

My family of 5 went for dinner last night and we were so happy and full when we left. Service was quick and kind ! My kids were fighting over the bean dip with the chips. We ordered 1 kids burrito and 4 different combo plates. We will definitely be back !

We visited this location during lunch. It was not terribly busy, but it was busy enough. The staff was friendly and prompt, which I appreciated. The warm beans they serve with the chips was the highlight for me. Normally, Mexican restaurants only give you salsa for your chips, but here the warm beans on a chilly day make them unique.
We ordered a combo meal, it was BIG! My husband and I shared it and we still didn’t finish everything. The waiter was kind enough to add extra corn tortillas, since we were sharing. The food itself could use some more seasoning and the horchata could use some work too.
Overall the food is just a 3 star, but the service made up for the food. I would
Probably go back for dinner, this place looks like it comes alive at night, I’m interested in trying out their drinks and checking out their ambiance at night.

Perfection! Extensive menu, attentive service, and beautiful setting. The first things I noticed were the cleanliness and ambience. Next was the friendliness of the staff. There's a lot of food and drinks to choose from. My Negra Modelo on draft was nice and cold. The menudo was the best with tender tripe, hominy, and all the fixings. I hope it's this good every time.

A real comfortable atmosphere with attentive and helpful staff. It wasn’t very crowded and was nice and peaceful. The food tastes like exactly what you’d expect from a respectable Mexican establishment, and the price is fair for what you get. Will be back again soon!

I got a carne asada quesadilla and beef taco. It wasn't terrible by any means, but it felt very generic. There are so many Mexican restaurants in Colorado Springs, the food here failed to stand out in any way. Fiesta Jalisco is a few hundred feet away and all the times I've been there the food has tasted amazing.
